What is
The Blue Cart?
The Blue Cart lives in central New England and consists of Bradley Teeter and Will Nissen. Both of us come from educational backgrounds that have at their heart connecting people to the land and themselves. We both work with youth, teaching farming and nature connection practices.
Brad also works with two horses, Shorty and Rosa who combine to make the Blue cart team. Our hope is to get the literal blue cart together enough to travel around soon.
One wheel of this Blue Cart is offering green woodworking and other craft creations for sale. We have been gaining experience and taking courses in the tradition of green woodworking since 2016. As of now, Brad has focused on spoon and utensil making, and Will on bowls, turned and carved. Both of us make chairs.

Greenwood working generally differs from other wood working in that we typically work right from a tree rather than from lumber. We feel this leads to a greater intimacy with the wood and place it comes from. It's been a great privilege to be able to spend time learning these various crafts, and now move towards selling and sharing our own.
The other wheel of the cart seems to be bouncing around on some mystery terrain. We're hoping to figure out where it's heading soon.

All of our woodenware and chairs are created to be used. The bowls are meant to be eaten from, spoons meant to be dug into oatmeal, cups for your daily cup of tea. We eat from our own woodenware every day, often for every meal of everyday. All woodenware is food safe and non-toxic.
